Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Alappuzha.

Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda conducted a Geetha Jnana Yajna at Alappuzha in the year 1988.At that time Gurudev entrusted the organizers to open a CBSE School at Alappuzha under Chinmaya Seva Trust,Kerala.The committee purchased 3.07 acres of land by the side of National Highway 47 at Kalarcode and a building of 100*20 feet was constructed.

The Chinmaya Mission started a School at Pazhaveedu campus in the year 1976 under Kerala State Syllabus. The CBSE Syllabus was introduced in the School in 1992. The School had been shifted to the new campus at Kalarcode on 13-03-1994, When Swami Tejomayananda inaugurated the school in the new campus at Kalarcode. The CBSE granted middle school syllabus affiliation for secondary School in the year 1996 and the first batch of students appeared the AISSCE examination conducted by CBSE in 1998. The Chinmaya Vidyalaya Alappuzha was upgraded to Senior Secondary School in the year 2005 and the 1st batch of AISSCE students passed out in 2007.
